Messe Frankfurt 2006 saw the launch of the Pure Acoustic pickup. Several distributors signed up and we started negotiations with Fishman transducers for a licensing agreement, which unfortunately fell through as a result of an unsuccessful US patent application. The following year Fishman launched their Nashville Series pickups.
To streamline production, I traveled to Luby to train Akord Kvint’s finishers in the techniques we used for colouring and lacquering. This allowed us to receive fully lacquered and polished S1s ready for electronics and final assembly with typical Skyinbow precision and attention to detail.
In 2010 we designed our new rechargeable Pure Acoustic preamp (replacing the old MISI one) and started production. The rechargeable preamp was used in both Pure Acoustic pickups and Skyinbow e-violins. I also developed and made a few new S1 MkIII models and a new Pro active e-violin, but these never went in to production.
